A guide to less toxic household cleaning products. Many of us are trying to find ways to shrink our ecological footprint. There are some big ways and some not-so-big ways to make earth-friendly changes, but, as the saying goes, change begins at home.

A great place to start is by making changes in your day to day living. Without realizing it, a lot of us are likely using quite toxic cleaning products on a daily basis. So an easy first step on the journey to a more ‘green’ lifestyle is to (safely) dispose of toxic household cleaning products, and begin using more eco-friendly products to keep your house spic and span.

The Environmental Health Association of Nova Scotia provides this lengthy Guide to Less Toxic Products, including household cleaners. It’s a great resource. Take a look!
