Guelph Home Sales Remain Strong in August

The Guelph and District association of REALTORS® has released data related to home sales in August – and the news was good for Guelph.

Here is a summary of the statistics:

• In August 2011, the number of homes sold through the MLS® system in Guelph was significantly higher than year-ago levels. Homes sales numbered 270 units in August – an increase of 34 per cent compared to August 2010.
• The average price of home sales in August was $292,206, representing an increase of per cent compared to August 2010.
• New residential listings in August numbered 363 units, up three per cent on a year-over-year basis.
• The average number of days on market for detached and semi-detached homes, townhouses and apartment units is 38 days, with Guelph’s Sale to Listing ratio at 78 per cent.
